Jake Smith
(PT, DPT)
Jake earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University in 2021 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) from Midwestern University in 2024. He brings a year of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, where he has worked with an extensive variety of orthopedic and neurological patients. With a background as a collegiate athlete, playing three years of baseball at Waubonsee Community College and Madison College, Jake provides a performance-focused and empathetic approach to care. His own experience as a physical therapy patient following Tommy John surgery sparked his passion for the profession and gives him a deep understanding of the rehabilitation process from a patient’s perspective.
Jake is certified in trigger point dry needling and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). He enjoys treating individuals of all ages and activity levels and is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based care.
Outside of the clinic, Jake enjoys an active lifestyle that includes strength training, distance running, basketball, and golf.
